If there’s anything that’s true about Arrow Season 3 is that it has turned into a complete mess.
No matter what fans might say, it just didn’t work and was filled with confusing plotlines, bizarre characters, dreadful villains, poorly constructed Hong Kong flashbacks and romance between Felicity and Oliver that just didn’t cut it.
The finale was no different but the good part is that the conflict with Ra is now over, only to have Malcolm Merlin as the new Demon.
While Ray Palmer has an accident with miniaturization at the end, Thea become Speedy although the use of the bow makes her look like another copy of the Arrow himself. It would have been better if she did something else other than shoot arrows but that’s how it has played out now.
Apart from this, Diggle seems to be pretty angry with Oliver and that seems a bit silly given that there was no other way by which Oliver could have gotten the better of Ra’s Al Ghul. Of course, at the end there is an indication that he will wear a mask. However, we’ll have for the next season to find out.
As for Quentin Lance, he comes around after being confronted by his daughter about his drinking problem and actually stops causing trouble if only for this episode. Let’s hope this good behavior continues into the next season as well.
Laurel is getting better as a superhero but sadly, the romance between Oliver and Felicity just does not work even though the episode ends with them riding off into the sunset.
